Founded 2019 · Pudsey, made by hand
Pudsey makes the scarecrows. You follow the trail.
Every September, homemade scarecrows pop up around Pudsey. Pick up a trail map, see what people have made and choose your favourites.

Made at home, for Pudsey. Every entry is different. Some are carefully planned for weeks; others come together from an old shirt, a broom handle and whatever is in the shed.
The festival began in 2019 and raises money for local good causes. You can enter a scarecrow, apply for a stall or simply come along and enjoy the trail.
This year's theme
A new theme, and a town full of ideas.
We choose a theme each year, but what you make is up to you. The best part is seeing how many different ideas Pudsey can come up with.
- Original work, built from scratch
- In good taste - it is a family day out
- Eco-friendly materials wherever possible
- Standing in time for the judging panel
- Pitstops welcome: a brew, a bench, a bit of cake

Make a scarecrow. Put it on the trail.
Use a garden, gatepost or window at home. If you need help finding a suitable spot, ask the team before you enter.
